Q01How much does ceramic coating cost in Colorado Springs?+
Entry-level 1-year ceramic for a standard sedan starts around $350–$500. Our 2-year grade runs $550–$900 depending on vehicle size. The 5-year premium coating, which includes full paint correction, starts at $800 for a small car and goes up from there for trucks and SUVs. Every quote is based on actual paint condition and vehicle size, we don't use flat menu pricing that doesn't reflect the work involved.
Q02Do I need paint correction before ceramic coating?+
It depends on your paint. Ceramic is transparent, it preserves whatever the surface looks like when you apply it. If your paint has visible swirls, scratches, or oxidation, those get sealed in and amplified under the coating. For vehicles with clean paint, we can apply without correction. For anything with visible defects, we'll recommend correction first. We're honest about this in the quote, we won't tell you paint correction is needed when it isn't.
Q03How do I maintain ceramic coating in Colorado?+
Use pH-neutral soap only, standard dish soap strips the coating. Avoid automatic car washes with rotating brushes (they create swirls). Hand wash or touchless wash only. Rinse off road salt promptly in winter. Beyond that, the coating is doing its job on its own, the whole point is that it protects without requiring you to do much.
Q04Can ceramic coating be applied in cold weather?+
Most professional ceramics require a surface temperature above 50°F and below 90°F for proper bonding. In Colorado Springs, this means late spring through early fall is the ideal window, though heated garages extend that range significantly. We'll advise on timing based on when you book, we won't apply coating in conditions that compromise the result.
Q05Is mobile ceramic coating as good as shop-based?+
For most vehicles, yes, the coating itself is identical. The two factors that matter most for quality are surface prep (which we do the same way regardless of location) and ambient temperature and humidity at application time. We assess conditions before starting and have a controlled workspace setup. For vehicles with very delicate finishes or extreme paint correction needs, we may recommend a shop environment, and we'll tell you that honestly before you book.
